From Sailor Moon Flash!
Serenity, the Princess of Hope, redeemed the fallen and soulless Galaxia by dispersing the power of Chaos into the hearts of everyone, rather than sealed away in a single vessel who could not hope to control its corruption. Galaxia's hands, controlled by Chaos, had collected all of the True Starseeds less seven: the three Kinmoku soldiers who were never allowed to die, and the four Guardians of the Prince of Earth, who had already fallen long ago.
What should she do with these Starseeds, left lonely and empty without their hosts? "Replant them," Serenity told her. "Find them new homes, new places to belong."
The Princess of Strength, so newly restored, was eager to fulfill this sacred duty given her by her heroine, and so she followed the edict that Serenity had set for her and carefully chose new hosts for all of the True Starseeds. This filled a dual purpose: firstly, it allowed the original soldiers their time to rest and live out their lives in peace, a peace they'd been denied for two lifetimes. Secondly, it allowed her to choose the people Serenity would find most suitable, people who would be able to come to terms with themselves and their abilities over the course of this peace that Serenity's sacrifice had made, and be prepared to support the next generation when the time came.
Unfortunately, things never seem to turn out quite the way you expect.
It's only been two years since the last battle's warriors retired to their normal lives, two years since a group of new people were unknowingly entrusted with the protection of the four Great Crystals: the Mystical Silver Crystal, Serenity's lotus blossom of peace and healing; the Magnificent Golden Crystal, Endymion's chrysanthemum flower of Earth's protection; the Beneficent Ruby Crystal, Kakyuu's magnolia blossom of knowledge and wisdom; the Celestial Sapphire Crystal, Galactica's lily of strength and power.
Only two years, and yet strange things are happening: as though Chaos knows that the Universe's fighters are unprepared, its own forces have been marshaled in the guise of an ancient god and his followers. How can they stop Chaos, when they have neither teachers nor past lives to fall back on?
You know what happened. What comes next?
