The Basics

Name: Arcelia Ramos Hernandez de Chavez

Meaning: Arcelia is a alternate form of the Spanish name "Araceli." This name stems from the latin words ara (altar) and celi (sky) and means, quite literally, "altar of the sky." It is pronounced "ar-sale-e-ah" and she'll accept it being shortened down to Celia (sale-e-ah) or Cela (sale-ah) as a nickname.

Hispanic surnames include two names stemming from both the father's family (the first name) and the mother's maiden name (the second). Ramos is a surname that's exact meaning is disputed regionally, but stems from the Catholic celebration of Palm Sunday. It generally means either "palms, branches, or offshoots."

Hernandez means "son of Fernando." o/~ There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando... o/~ Ahem. Fernando comes from Ferdinand, meaning "bold voyager."

Upon marriage, Latin women traditionally add their husband's paternal name to the end of their own utilizing the combination "de" (meaning "of") and the name itself. Chavez is a Portuguese name that means "key."

Mush it all together and we get something silly: altar of the sky branching from the key of the bold voyagers. Yet the individual meanings make more sense when related to her eventual position within the Hierarchy of Heaven. Her husband's name, Chavez, was purposely chosen since he directly relates to the emergence of her disability... but we'll get to that later.

Position: Well, old Queen Kong is a hell of'va elemental; she stands for tornadoes, air, and all. She also works within Jade Dragon Enterprise's Yochien Center: a daycare that serves to look after the children of employees ranging from ages one to six.

Appearance: Poor Arcelia suffers from an incredible plainness in looks when compared to other more beautiful women from Latin America. She's of medium height (think about five foot nine or so) and medium build with some muscle due to a life in the sticks. She has more curves than normal that work to accentuate what meat she has on her; mainly in the hips. She's busty compared to other Asian women, but these too fall into the 'meh' category since she's what most men would consider a little chubby. We'll refer to it as a nice roundness of form. The actual reason for this is her broad shoulders and general athletic build (which make her seem as though she was made for labor). Her step is full of bounce and usually hurried, making it seem as though she's just floating over the ground, and Arcelia generally seems to have some sort of grace about her before she opens her mouth or goes off. She is not calm or collected: her gestures usually display whatever emotion she's going through at the moment. Basically: average beefy build and easy to read as a book.

Her hair is an orange-black that tends to pick up warm highlights with any exposure to sunlight. It's thin, but soft, and reaches down about five or so inches past her shoulders. It seems shorter due to a wavey texture. She ties it back alongside one ear or another with a scrunchie that usually sports a white flower. Her face is framed by some fairly straight bangs and whatever else she misses in the ponytail. On formal occassions, she'll tie most of her hair back into a bun using netting. She takes great pride in letting her hair have that rough but managed look. Her vanity has been known to get the best of her from time to time — she'll stop and pause to straighten her hair when it gets messy. Unfortunately, she has dominion over the wind.

Tone wise, her skin is a deep caramel color suffers from problems such as occasional acne and an oily texture. The shape of her face is generally square with a prominent (and round) chin, and a not so defined jaw line due to a general softening of features. Her cheekbones are set high, giving her cheeks a round "applish" quality. Her grey-hazel eyes are almond shaped and bordered by thick black eyelashes. Her thin eyebrows are dark as well with only a hint of an arc to them. Her nose suggests that there is some African or Indian-American blood in her since it is flat and wide. Her lips are full and she usually wears some sort of pink gloss or lipstick.

Her clothing is fairly modest. She'll wear loose blouses and long, layered skirts (with some shorts underneath) that have some sort of patterned motif on them (anywhere from indian brocades to celtic swirls and flowers). Their palate is usually bright; falling within the red/yellow end of the color wheel with many whites and some soft blues to add balance. She wears silver jewelry given to her by her husband: mainly necklaces with some stone work, a few thin bracelets, and her wedding band. Her ears are not pierced.

Age/Birthday/Astrological Whatnot: June 19, Age 23. This places her sun sign within the house of Gemini. Her moon sign is Cancer, lending a strong need for recognition and acceptance. Emotions rule over logic, creating a very sensitive and high strung individual with strong intuitive and intellectual reasoning (that often is used to forecast other's ambitions). The combination of these signs makes her a curious person with a nurturing nature. Aries on the rise attributes toward a quick temper and lots of impatience. Once Arcelia makes a decision there will be little hesitation between formation and action.

Her zodiac signs also provide everything needed for a tempest to brew: air, water, and hot hot heat. Whoo hoo.

Usual Daily Routine:

Background: Twenty-three years ago, Maria Hernandez Vega de Ramos struggled to bring a small child into the world. She gave birth in her own home on the outskirts of Belen, Peru. Belen wasn't a large city, certainly not when compared to its larger neighbor Iquitos, the capital of the Loreto province and seat of the provincial president, but finding a midwife shouldn't have been such an issue. The problem was that their entire district was notoriously disconnected -- the capital city was only reachable by boat and the entire region could not be reached by road since it sat above the winding jungles of the Amazon and its rivers. Iquitos itself is still only reachable by boat or air. That June was the middle of the rainy season, and the baby decided to come early. It was fortunate that the next-door neighbors showed up at all to help.

Maria was a weaver at a local shop who made blankets each day to sell to the tourists who came up the river toward Brazil. She had married Jose Ramos Siquieros about a half a year earlier after becoming pregnant during one of their flings in the capital city. He was a good man -- tall, with handsome dark features and mestizo ancestry -- who had a steady job cutting lumber down in the forests below. His work kept him away from their home for lengths at a time. Neither had gone to University after their secondary education ended because it was too far away and too expensive. The political climate of the area didn't help either as the United States and Peru itself increased military presence to fight drug trafficking near the Columbian border. Jose wouldn't be home until a few days after their Arcelia was born.

He thankfully found everything all right as he returned for a small siesta four days later. Arcelia, named after the windstorms that had assaulted the region, was healthy and unnaturally fussy for someone so young. Both parents, somewhat laid back and hardworking individuals, didn't receive much of a break as they were both employed and needed the money to pay taxes and finance their colonial Spanish home. Arcelia was placed into the care of an elderly mother nearly a week after being born in order for her parents to maintain a comfortable lifestyle.

Arcelia never really outgrew her fussiness and need for coddling. She demanded constant attention and tactile comfort that Nanny Anita couldn't provide. The baby, now a toddler, soon got used to being left alone in a crib or playpen during the day and being picked up by her mother during the evening time for dinner and bed. The other children in the village learned to stay away from her. Arcelia grabbed whatever she could get her hands onto tightly and refused to let go. She got used to being alone and found other ways to indulge her urges. Other saw Arcelia as a nasty little child: not wanting to share and content to sit and watch the other children as she coddled her ratty dolls.

Jose was promoted to a lumber foreman when Arcelia turned four and celebrated by purchasing the family their own boat. The only problem was that the 1980s brought rain prompted by the El Nino system that flooded much of the region and completely shut off the basin from any air traffic at all. The area was thrown into a massive depression and many of its inhabitants turned toward independent "farming" and terrorism in response. Jose, a good man with some misplaced priorities, choose to side with the government instead of his neighbors. The Ramos family was cut off from the rest of the community. Maria still needed to work in the city and went between days where she could leave Arcelia at home and times when she would take the little six year old to the shop. Arcelia learned a hard work effort that was rewarded with trips into the capital city. Her favorite retreat was the library -- a place she could stare at other people without much conflict and also experience whole different worlds within text.

This love of others, now observed by a similar love of literature, helped her as she started primary and secondary schooling. Arcelia was very much the same as an adolescent, needy and withdrawn, but she found a few friends whose families had chosen similar attitudes toward the regional terrorism. Yet these kids taught Arcelia to detest her parents. Sure, they were good people, but good people with hazardous views and dead end jobs. Arcelia had a lack of significant romantic relationships during her teens, generally regarded as too emotional and unstable by her peers. Her early attempts were successful, she just quickly went through all the guys she could get her hands onto and went to lengths to keep the relationship going as far as possible. What other guys saw as her being easy was confused in Arcelia's mind as emotional attachment.

She would always get hurt and soon grew bitter. She had long since detached herself from both parents, whom were too busy to really notice, and she started to plan small revenge upon everyone who had hurt her as she grew into her late teens. Arcelia was still, and is now, too emotional for any plans to pan out, but her little fits of violence against those who has broken her heart taught everyone to keep a careful eye on the girl. Arcelia didn't notice and kept up her destructive relationships and made plans to leave the Iquitos area for any much larger and metropolitan city where the people would be fairer and nicer.

So Arcelia ran away from home at the age of seventeen. This was after she had saved up enough small change to take a water taxi down the river and over the border into Brazil by working several dead-end jobs. She had planned to make her way toward Brasilia without realizing the Brazil was the largest country in South America... we never said she was bright. Thankfully, among one of her stops at a country farm, she met Diego Chavez Pena and fell in love. He was an ugly but charismatic Brazilian with a steady income and need for constant attention -- something Arcelia, Borderline now matured, was able to give. They married and moved back to his hometown, a smaller but economically sound village in Brazil, to start a life together. Arcelia didn't forget about her dream, but instead chose to postpone it until a later date.

Life got boring fast. Arcelia found that she just wouldn't and couldn't conceive a child for Diego. With little technical skill, she became a sort of Nanny for the other families in the area and worked diligently toward gaining a teaching license from the Brazilian government amid the work of registering herself as a national citizen. Diego had received a new job as a courier for a corporation inside the country's capital that he explained in relatively vague and ambiguous terms to his wife. She, not really caring as long as it promised to someday move them to the city, was enthusiastic that her hubby was getting somewhere in the world. Diego was actually carrying narcotics to and fro the city... but no one needed to know that. His own addiction allowed him to put up with good old Arcelia and the new position guaranteed that he could spend large amounts of time away -- the girl was just too emotional and too needy to see everyday. He didn't want to divorce her as she provided a solid alibis for his illicit actions.

Arcelia threw herself into her studies and picked up a relatively good grasp of the English language as she waited for the day when Diego would return and whisk her off to a luxurious lifestyle in a large city. When he never returned, she grew suspicious and began to listen to gossip within their little town about what her good old husband was up to. By the time she turned twenty-two, she had had enough and crafted plans to follow Diego on his next business route.

The Borderline Disorder had reached its peak. Arcelia had become a stalker. She sorted through her husband's belongings and maps, hiding away food and money for the long trip. It finally came in an August -- Diego left by pickup truck and Arcelia followed on bus and foot with the address of the hotel he would be staying in. As you can expect, it all ended rather badly. Arcelia arrived in Brasilia days after her husband and found him entangled within the arms of his lover. They were both totally stoned and totally blissful. They never saw her coming.

We can say this is where Arcelia "officially" snapped. She took her backpack and beat the two defenseless druggies senseless and had a little too much fun after finding a sharpened knife within her husband's possessions. Arcelia could have been considered relatively sedated herself; she doesn't remember most of her actions. She cut them apart piece by piece and used her husband's shirt to wash the blood from her hands. This is where she woke up and had her first panic attack.

Upon realizing that she had killed her beloved, Arcelia raced to the nearest Church for confession. Her Catholic roots had taught her this would be appropriate, and she missed the police by mere minutes as she ran in tears toward forgiveness. There was no better time for the Jade Emperor to choose his Kong. The priest Arcelia encountered, a handsome Asian man, provided a penance for the actions that now stained her soul. All he required was her starseed and for her to jump upon the nearest plane (even if she was still trembling). He was her salvation.

Arcelia eagerly agreed and began her life as a servant of Chaos. She arrived in Japan and tired as hard as possible to wash that old life away. Its too bad she couldn't, as evidenced by her continued panic attacks and unstable personality. Her god gave her a job within his corporation teaching and looking after little children with whom she could connect. She really had everything she wanted: the city, a wealthy lifestyle, the companionship of her fellow Elementals, and some sort of forgiveness. All the kind priest and god, now revealed to be the CEO of this company, wanted was for her to eliminate a few of the devils that would come to haunt her along the way.

A Little More Specific

Quirks: The first thing that most people would tend to notice about Arcelia Ramos Hernandez de Chavez is her love, her most basic need, for human interaction and connection. Conversations and dialogues are often unprompted, and she'll gladly keep talking even if paired with someone like Trin. Yet if asked about her own personality and tendencies — oh, she can still go on for hours about how she loves children and finds herself to be a nurturing individual — she'll be no where near the actual reality. She may be close. A certified psychologist would be closer by just saying that she's an individual suffering from panic disorders stemming from borderline tendencies.

All of us who aren't certified psychologists may need a little bit more to understand what's exactly off about Arcelia.

Arcelia needs to be around people in order to reaffirm her own worth. The problem is that she suffers from a splitting of extremes. This is a symptom of Borderline Personality Disorder: a disease characterized by extreme lack and white thinking, mood swings, emotional reasoning, disrupted relationships, and a difficulty to function in ways society excepts as normal. The world is not full of gray for this Latina; everything is either good or bad. This disposition pops up both in her own self esteem, her emotional register, and what she thinks about others.

This again needs clarification. Arcelia is never slightly perturbed or fine. She's completely devastated or she's ecstatic. She's not bipolar (where even rapid cycling may prolong moods for days on end). She is simply so caught up in the moment that she experiences every emotion to its fullest apex and then slides back down the other side. Here we come to the crux of the disorder: Arcelia lives completely in the present. This is hell on relationships as Arcelia experiences everything so totally that she cannot take the time to recall past events that may soften the icy chill of a cold shoulder. These experiences are so all encompassing that the latest encounter between acquaintances lasts longer and stronger than an entirety of previous encounters in a relationship. Thus people are seen as either wholly good or wholly bad. There is no in between.

This tendency stems from a deep intuitive nature and the fact that she was emotionally high strung to begin with. Borderline Disorder's causes are unknown, but are now thought to be genetically influenced. Other causes may stem from long periods of loneliness and lack of human interaction that cause the victim to not exactly learn how to deal with their emotions. Arcelia trusts her these misplaced reactions and gut feelings because they were all that she had for the longest time as her husband left on business.

You can imagine the troubles this causes in social situations and how quickly relationships will turn sour for Ms. Ramos Hernandez. Thankfully, Arcelia has found ways to counteract these extreme moods by constantly surrounding herself with reminders of other's general disposition and presence (so the loneliness never consumes her whole). This is the quickest way to calm her down. Another coping mechanism is her own story-making: her anger can be turned into sympathy if she can give the stranger that gave her a funny look some excuse for their actions. Maybe they had a bad day. Maybe they just went bankrupt. Maybe maybe maybe. Then she feels the need to share this information in order to try and stir this deep emotion in others.

This isn't because she wants to share her discoveries from some need to feel valuable or loved. In fact, Arcelia does not work (even in her low times) to garner sympathy for herself. She's either giving the sympathy, suddenly comforting and open, or completely withdrawn and cold. In times of conflict, she turns hostile toward others because they're the reason she's feeling down. They're why she feels this way and they need to pay for it. This is where she does not fall into classic definitions of Borderline Disorder, because Arcelia cannot find it in herself to hold herself personally responsible for the consequences of her actions. This is the most immediate byproduct of living with little sense of the past — she cannot connect her own previous actions, or those of the people around her, to what's happening around her. This makes her seem harsh and unforgiving at some points, but also immediately merciful and open toward the affections of others. She punishes others when the only excuse for their actions is that's just the way they are. This characteristic (of those who are beyond sympathy) can be easily influenced by those who she sees as good and kind. Another reason for this tendency is a simple selfish nature. She wouldn't know what to do if she was to blame. So thus, surrounding herself with other people allows Arcelia to misdirect her problems onto others so that she feels good about herself and she does not need to come to terms with anything that's happened. The idea of divine and supernatural retribution scares her witless.

Although the Borderline permeates and forms much of her personality, Arcelia still remains firmly planted in reality due to the strong optimism she holds in the quality of humanity. Our Kong is not cynical and she does not immediately look to see the flaws in other people. She generally regards others upon meeting them as wholly good individuals that can do no wrong by her unless Arcelia was previously fed opinions about their quality (like someone mentioning that the Holders of the Great Crystals are responsible for what she sees as wrong in the world and others — they'll then become her excuse for misfortune). This warmness and a concern for the well being of others often puts her in the role of peacemaker. She's generous and caring toward those she loves, but also obsessive and smothering. It's important to note that the whole 'living in the now' makes her terrible about giving advice since that requires some future planning and theory. Advice from her is always impractical and fueled by emotion.

Arcelia is naive, certainly, and easily influenced by others into making opinions that tend to stick once they are formed — even if she has never met someone. She's quick to judge and react, taking her most immediate gut feeling and acting upon it. She's completely loyal to those who she sees as universally good (like Yu Haung) and loathes those that irritate his "benevolent" presence. It would take time to change her opinion if she shuts you out since she's also very stubborn. Her loved ones would never lie to her! She likes to make those she loves happy so she can be happy (with them).

Arcelia's generosity, a need to share those high highs and low lows, makes her a good host. She's accepting of others until they end up doing some terrible wrong in her book. Because of her strong connection to the present, it allows her to be very flexible in situations. She tends to 'go with the flow.' Her total experience of everything also makes her very observant and quickly adaptable. Her actions are dramatic and lean toward grandstanding, but this is not a concious decision or need for attention.

One of Arcelia's strengths is also the thing that gets her into the most trouble. Her strong intuition fuels a highly developed imagination that is accountable for the majority of her coping mechanisms. Yet, because of the Borderline, this imagination suffers from a prolepsis that doesn't take the time to develop anything in between start and finish. "Stranger A is mean today because his wife just left him and took the dog. The quickest way to make myself happy is to find someone to love." There is always one premise and one end to her stories. There is no planning on how to get to that solution — she shares Macbeth's great failing in that maybe the quickest means aren't always the best.

This type of thinking is what is most accountable for her panic disorder. Since there was no one to blame for what happened to her husband and his mistress other than herself, that memory will not go away. Sudden triggers such as a threat of violence, blood, an inability to shift accountability toward someone else, strong negative emotions such as guilt, betrayal, and grievance, and even strangers that somehow remind her of him will cause Arcelia to go into complete and utter lock down, prompting only the most basic and primal defenses (such as violence). This Panic Disorder, intense periods of fear that happen abruptly and without warning, causes her to spaz out and seek the most immediate means necessary to end the stimulus. Attacks only last for somewhere around fifteen minutes or until she is removed from the trigger. This is the most immediate indication that something is rotten in Denmark. You'd have to get to know her to realize the rest.

So Arcelia's just a little too passionate about life due to her illness: highs are way up there and lows are down in the gutter. She wants your love, baby, because she feels and really hopes she deserves it. Other people are the problem, but they can't help it. She's social, she's friendly, she's wildly creative in those stories she comes up with. This Latin American loves people and will go to great lengths to make them feel the same way she does (up or down). Unfortunately, her answers are always the quickest way possible. She's adaptable to being blown around and finds comfort being in thick of things. Triggers in her environment release a temper that is a force to be reckoned with. Watch out when pushing her buttons.

Darkest Secret:

Reactions to Sudden Hugs:

Virtues and Vices:

Badassery

Power Sphere: Tornado

Asswhoopery: Vicious Vortex: The power sphere of 'tornadoes' is more directly a result of Kong's own manipulation of air pressure. Air generally moves from areas of high pressure to low pressure in a clockwise motion around the area of low pressure to form a vortex. Kong can directly manipulate the speed and direction of this wind, allowing her to literally 'blow people away.' Wind speed is directly influenced air pressure: wind is the result of areas of lower pressure moving to fill the areas of higher pressure. Kong creates a funnel of air around her that moves at higher speeds when the pressure is increased by manipulating the air pressure around her. Kong is generally limited in the time it takes to charge up a fearsome F5 tornado Due to the effect that changes and pressure have upon the human body (see the below power). However, the longer the battle persists, the more deadly she becomes.

These tornadoes, the meat and potatoes of her abilities, are fearsome indeed. Things get messy quickly: as she begins to focus (or freak out), twigs and trees begin to blow. Soon whole trees will sway, become uprooted, and there will be building damage. This is an area affect. Kong is always lifted from the ground by the sheer power of the vortex is only protected by debris and some innate force of self preservation. The vortex looses strength as its area of influence is widened, taking more time to build up to natural disaster caliber. Attacks that are purely physical, such as someone throwing a weapon, will be swept away by the wind. Energy attacks are far game, but Kong's influence over air gives her a fighting chance in blocking them with various pieces of debris.

Kong's tornadoes cause a general rise in temperature and humidity the closer one gets toward the eye (meaning, her) and colder in the reverse direction. Meaning: it gets chilly. Wind is also very loud. Kong would politely ask you to remember these facts.

Pressure Boiler - In addition to making tornadoes, Kong has the ability to directly influence the air molecules around her in other ways. When Kong manipulates air pressure in her direct area (for about fifty to one hundred foot radius around Kong) she is literally compressing the air molecules together. Focusing on this ability alone, she can create localized areas of pressure that have differing affects on those inside its zone. Lowering air pressure (spreading the molecules apart) is more difficult and only raises the temperature of the immediate area up to twenty or so degrees. Those around will begin to feel a little light headed from lack of oxygen and loose the ability to focus.

By increasing the air pressure, temperatures will first start to drop (we're talking only about ten to fifteen degrees — yet it feels like more due to wind chill), but others in the area may start to experience pain in their ears (the same pain caused by high pressure when a plane takes off) and a sickening feeling in the stomach (air sickness). This pain is immediate and can cause a temporary loss of hearing in those affected. The side effects will disappear once a victim has left the area. This trick only works for about five minutes: the headache will start to vanish as Kong's victims adjust to the pressure. The hearing damage lasts longer, but is not deafening (yet other factors will cause that). Those who can pop their ears will be able to avoid some of the pain.

Greatest Weakness: Kong must have the use of her hands to guide and direct this wind finely. Her thoughts and eyes can guide and influence wind and air pressure with less finesse (but on a much larger and boarder scale).

In times of stress or when a reaction is triggered by certain events (see personality), Arcelia will have a panic attack. Initially, she will clench a hand to her chest, as if in pain, and her breathing will become exasperated. She may begin to tremble and feel as if she is choking. Arcelia is apt to respond violently when confronted in this state, openly and violently attacking anyone who tries to get near her or those she decides are a threat. A threat usually involves those who may have triggered the attack by saying something demeaning, prompting an emotional response that takes her back to the incident, or anyone who Arcelia believes is threatening her. She becomes inconsolable. These attacks are enough to trigger a sudden release of her powers. In some twisted way this serves as an emotional release for Kong; it allows her to make others feel the pain she's suffering.

Summoning: Dust Devils: Kong's elemental summons appear to be a cross between rather large hummingbirds, a child's top, and propeller blades. No animals were harmed in this presentation: we're not talking about what happens when hummingbirds meet propeller blades. ^^; Take the basic image of a hummingbird and enlarge it up to about six to ten inches in height. Their breasts are a vibrant red color and the rest of their feathering is a crazy sort of electric blue. Their eyes and beaks are are a simple black. The "wings" are different: they appear almost four times as long as the bird's height and are incredibly thin and flexible. These cords are nigh unbreakable. The little devils fly by rotating a secondary set of "wings" — two cupped propellor blades that extend from the bottom of the tail perpendicularly to the rest of creature's straight frame. These spin too rapidly for the human eye to catch and allow the little devils to get into the air.

Once airborne, they spin like the Tasmanian devil to create a small tornado in their wake. These are strong enough to pick up small objects, like rocks, pebbles, and dirt from three to eight feet under the youma (depending on their position relative with the ground). These little rocks are kept in the vortex until they meet with the upper wing cords: these suckers will cut a person's finger right off and also work to launch that dust or dirt at amazing speeds toward any victims nearby. Have you ever been hit by a blade of grass going fast enough (say from a weed whacker)? It hurts.

In essence: little bird mutants who can fire pebbles at you like bullets from a gun. Depending upon what they launch, the heavier objects (say, gravel) travel fast enough to puncture and bruise skin. The amount of dust they kick up limit visibility and sting upon contact. Anything larger than dust is spat at random. The summons can be defeated by getting knocked out the air and taking damage to their lower propellors (although they have amazing maneuverability and speed in any direction). They're easily fried by electricity and area wide attacks, but also slowed by sudden drops in temperature.

Kong calls on these things by whistling and can summon two to four at one time.

Connections

Yu Huang

Li-Nian
Oh, dear Kong will be all over providing emotional reassurance. Li-Nian will be seen as a good friend at times and hated in others, because the two of them seem to operate on a similar emotional level. The relationship might be strained by the fact that, well, Arcelia just doesn't need much done for her since she's not considering the future and not planning ahead for anything.

Ebba
Arcelia is chaotic, Arcelia is hypocritical. Poor Di. Arcelia will find Ebba's work fascinating and question everything Ebba does with great enthusiasm. Arcelia will try to figure out why Ebba isn't so keen on human attachment all the time. She shall be considered Good more for the fact that she's at least consistent.

Dante
Dante and Arcelia will enjoy a relationship that shifts in between love and loathing rapidly. Arcelia cannot give Dante all the attention he wants, since her mind is constantly fluttering between everything, but she'll be devoted when the mood arises. Arcelia's entire 'living in the present' tendency might chafe with Dante's idea of a relationship.

Trin
Arcelia will probably latch onto Trin and treat her like a little child. She'll just plop right down and continually question Trin about what happened through stories and generally smother her with affection. Arcelia can easily make excuses for any negative comments because Trin is broken and she needs help.

Tacey
This'll be a tough connection depending upon whether Tacey is willing to share time with Arcelia in the first place. If Tacey comes off as snobby and paranoid, Arcelia may label her as an enemy and only bother her occasionally. The opposite will result in Arcelia trying to get Tacey to become more emotional by getting her out of the lab.

Lucien
She will initially latch onto Lucien with fierce loyalty as a result of his charismatic nature. As soon as he starts to tear her down, however, Mr. Guang may soon find out why it isn't safe to get Kong to panic. She'll cry and likely become violent as Lucien is now an Enemy. Fun fact: they'll probably blame each other!

Gene
This could be trouble. Eugene's programming will not register on Arcelia's "creepiness" meters because it stems across multiple encounters in which she will take any sort of positive reinforcement graciously. Once she does figure it out, however, these two may suffer from a great falling out.
