The Basics

Name: Seno (瀬の) Atsumi (温海 [あつみ]). se - current; torrent; rapids; shallows; shoal || atsumi - warm sea Put it together, and what have you got? Bibbity bobbity boo!

Position: Super Sailor Neptune, Scourge of the Seven Seas. (Alliteration! And the crowd goes wild!) Err, Senshi of Oceans/Embrace. Seno Atsumi, Resident Renaissance Person (We are politically correct! And the crowd goes wild!). Also a socond-year Chuo highschool student.

Appearance: Hair: Were it straightened, Atsumi's hair would easily fall to the backs of her knees. Her hair is not straight, however; it falls in lush, deep waves (no pun intended) just past her rear end. Definitely gravity-defying in a way that can only be described as /unusual/, the ends of her hair tend to curl up and over themselves in what I like to call "Hair, with Cresting Wave Action (TM)," and the entire mass is surprisingly light despite its thickness. Her hair is very glossy, to the point where it feels just a bit damp to the touch (how....odd .^_^.). Atsumi keeps her hair very clean and well-conditioned, and it always managed to look well-groomed, even at its most unruly. It is very refined hair. .^_^. Atsumi's tresses are a dark, rich blue-green, and though she has no bangs to speak of, her hair varies in length, and there seem to be two sections in the front that are distinctly shorter than the rest. Atsumi has a gold filigree comb that she wears set back directly atop her head, and is almost never seen without. Although this comb is not inherent to the True Starseed of Neptune, it remains in Atsumi's hair even after transformation.

Eyes: Atsumi's almond-shaped eyes are not overly large, but her irises are, to some extent. The wider-than-normal irises give her an almost doe-like appearance, and would probably be cuter and more lovable as a soft, warm brown. Rather than brown, they are a bright pastel shade of teal, with teensy whitish stripes in the irises which create the vague optical illusion of eyes which are fathomless. (Fathomless? You'd think so, wouldn't you? ^.^) Unexpectedly light for her hair and overall coloring, they are striking but not necessarily pretty. Fortunately, her dark, thick eyelashes add a bit of shadow to them, lessening their luminance.

Face/skin: Atsumi's arched, feathery eyebrows sit on smooth, creamy-pink skin. Atsumi has a gently sloping and unobtrusive nose, high, smoothed cheekbones, and coral-pink cupid's-bow lips which cover straight, white teeth. Her ears are small, with detached earlobes, and each ear is pierced just once. Atsumi has a defined jawline on a slender, oval face, an unremarkable chin, and a slender neck of the caliber of Audrey Hepburn.

Clothing: Queen of all that is light and gauzy and flowing, Atsumi owns no more than one pair of jeans in all of her extensive wardrobe, and even those are only "for emergencies." No one is quite sure what sort of emergency requires denim pants as the solution, but nonetheless she is adamant about having exactly the one pair. Atsumi's day-to-day attire commonly veers toward "business-casual." She seldom wears pants at all, sticking to skirts and dresses, which we might expect from someone so staggeringly feminine and proper. Atsumi typically favors cool colors and pastels, though she often sports the neutral browns and tans as well. Whenever possible, Atsumi wears heeled shoes, mindful that they support strong arches which are so essential to dancing feetsies. She is fashion-forward and stylish at all times. .^_^.

Voice: Despite speaking (and singing) in the soprano range, Atsumi always manages to sound mature and adult. Her voice seldom displays much lyrical variance, sounding oddly un-lilting and very coolly controlled. Short on conversation, Atsumi chooses her words carefully and speaks with a concise sort of accuracy that can often seem overly formal and detached -- which, of course, Atsumi herself is. Not one for idle prattle, Atsumi is typically soft-spoken and difficult to engage in small talk.

Build/carriage: Lithe and graceful, Atsumi's build and carriage are what one would expect of a seasoned dancer, right down to the light-footed-ness of an antelope which typifies literary descriptions of anyone and anything which is very graceful. This is to say nothing of her physical condition - dancers are in top form - and that certainly includes Atsumi. While she may not be worth her spit athletically, she is most assuredly in very good shape, and muscularly, she's no slouch. Dancers are /hardcore/, and waaay more flexible than YOU. Atsumi's flexibility is unmatched by all but fellow dancers, gymnasts, and contortionists.

Age/Birthday/Astrological Whatnot: Atsumi was born on March 11th, and is 17 years old. This places her under the realm of Pisces, specifically on the Day of Progressive Intuition.

Mundane Life

Friends and Family: Atsumi refers to her parents, politely, as Seno-san and Seno-san.

Usual Daily Routine:

Background: As one might expect, Atsumi was most definitely an only child. Both of her parents were already getting on in years by the time their only-est little daughter was born, and despite thinking themselves as prepared as possible for raising a child, they really had no better idea of it than anyone else, so they did their level best.

Being already middle-aged by the time Atsumi came along, during her childhood her parents had some difficultly thinking of their child as anything but a very short adult, and treated her accordingly. She was encouraged to make her own decisions, and given as much free reign as she wanted. So naturally she explained to Mommy and Daddy that she wanted to be a princess.

Of course that wasn't at all possible, but being as she was their only child, her parents indulged her wishes and explained to her that she could be like a princess. To this end they bought her extremely frilly dresses and even a small table and set of chairs for the backyard so that she could host her own Royal Tea Parties. Oh, sure, she grew out of the princess phase soon enough, but she has always remained frilly and feminine and genteel.

After the princess phase, Atsumi moved on to the prima ballerina phase. Actually, she's never really gotten out of that particular phase. All awash in chiffon and sequins and pink, ballet was like a magical dreamworld to Atsumi, one which she promptly fell in love with. Her wonderfully indulgent old parents paid for as many dance classes as their little ballerina could possibly want to take, and in fact have financed her every pursuit in their upper-middle-class way.

Being left largely to her own devices, Atsumi worked that much harder to earn her parents attention and fond regard. They treated her like they expected her to be mature, so she became mature. They paid for her interests, so she resolved to excel at them, and excel she did. As she grew up, her parents began to understand her better and were better capable of handling their daughter...it had just taken them a while to realize she wasn't actually born an adult with very stubby arms and legs and a predisposition towards incontinence.

Atsumi developed a keen appreciation for her independence, having been given so damn much of it, and accustomed herself to making do on her own. If it sometimes seems like she can balance the entire world on her shoulders, it is because she is in fact trying to. Atsumi has rarely relied upon others for assistance, and is unaccustomed to doing so. To this end, she is very aware of exactly how much money her parents are shelling out for her at any given time, and minimizes it as much as possible by relying on her own funds. Though her tight schedule does not allow much room for a job on top of everything else, Atsumi puts in a few hours each week doing basic clerical work for the dance company she performs with, and that keeps a bit of money in her coffers.

Atsumi gets along well with her parents, but she doesn't really treat them like parents very often -- more like fellow adults. In general, Atsumi tends to get along with adults more easily than with those her age or younger, though people of any age often find her difficult to reach on any deep level without a good deal of persistent effort. If you understand how her mind operates, Atsumi can be very easy to get along with, but for most normal people, her aloof demeanor and impressively busy schedule with no room for normal teenage fun can seem snobbish and uptight and just plain off-putting. She's just trying to do her own thing, honest.

A Little More Specific

Quirks: "Silence speaks with ceaseless eloquence." -- The Maharishi

Atsumi is the very quintessence of refinement. Grace. Elegance. In many ways a Renaissance woman, Atsumi has numerous and varied talents, not the least of which is dance. Atsumi has aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, and she is well on her way. Dance is discussed previously, but it was worth a second mention here, because hey - it's her /life/. She lives it; she breathes it; she loves it.

Atsumi possesses the confidence of one who has met with many successes. This success has not left her resting on her laurels, however. As she still has goals to aspire to, she is still intent on being the best she can be. Never one to enter into anything giving less than her all, Atsumi can no more settle for second place than she can utter failure.

Drawing the admiration of those around her, Atsumi often seems like the sort of person who is unfazed by any obstacle, and may well have already surpassed it. She is difficult to fluster, unflappably cool-headed, and - plainly put - aloof. If anything disturbs her, those around her are not likely to soon know of it. One reason is her predisposition towards reticence. She operates on a need-to-know basis, finding that alerting people to some possible cause for alarm only causes them worry and grief and distraction, which ultimately only prove detrimental. Atsumi is willing to shoulder responsibility in order to protect others, which is not only an admirable quality showing that she IS kind-hearted and not indifferent to others, but is also a quality desirable in a sailor senshi.

For all of her willingness to help others, Atsumi is nonetheless more determined to help others help /themselves/. Willing to stand back and gently serve as a guide and source of encouragement, her soothing and unassuming regard often does more than just display her confidence - it radiates outward, inspiring self-confidence in those around her. Atsumi in a firm believer in teaching a man to fish, rather than giving him a fish. However, she will not let him starve - she will not begrudge someone a helping hand if they are well-and-truly outmatched. Because of her predilection towards nudging others on the road to self-help and self-awareness, Atsumi intends to pursue a career as a psychiatrist should something prevent her from making a living as a dancer.

Grace under fire, elegance physically and mentally, talent and maturity - Atsumi is a well-rounded individual. This does, unfortunately, leave her somewhat jaded, which lends to her cool, distant attitude. Atsumi lacks her predecessor's competitive nature, however, and as is evidenced above, has no qualms about letting others have the limelight. Instead, she is passive and agreeable, albeit in her own tacit fashion.

"Silence speaks with ceaseless eloquence" might well be Atsumi's motto. She is not much for idle chitchat, preferring to be a listener than a speaker. When she /does speak/, it is with efficiency, precision, and facundity. Her speech is impeccable and so are her manners, but for the most part, she communicates without words. Less is more. She has an expressive face and a keen intellect. Atsumi may have a free, artistic spirit, but it is also a genteel, cultivated spirit. Her temperament lends itself best towards quiet confidence and soft-spoken communication. This has always served to best set others at ease, and has the added bonus of making her just a bit mysterious. .^_^.

Atsumi is very artistic and deeply intuitive. Apparently a trait inherent to both Pisceans in general and the True Starseed of Neptune specifically, the intuition of Neptune is on par with that of Mars, though not the spiritual connection by any means. Atsumi/Neptune's intuition is more a product of the nature of her sphere of influence. Water closely ties in with the idea of clarity, and the Neptune Starseed carries with it a deep-seeing quality quite rightly. Neptune is all about depth. The ocean has the power to reduce rock to sand, and can strip down anything to its true nature. A defining quality of the Neptune Starseed is its ability to see through illusions to the truth. Atsumi has developed a worthy intuition, which is just as well and fairly important for the carrier of the Deep Aqua Mirror. Her Submarine Reflection attack can spot weaknesses, but it is up to the senshi Neptune to know to look for them. This intuition not only supports her role as a senshi, but is a large part of what defines her as elegant - her apparent polish, sophistication, grace, and charm are a result of her understanding of others and of how to deal with them.

Atsumi deals well and easily with others, as would be expected of one so refined and dignified. Generally, she manages just as well on her own, and in fact appreciates her solitude. Very much in touch with herself, she is mature enough not to feel lost when she has no one to anchor herself to. Atsumi is the caretaker, not the patient - and yet she is the counselor before she will step in and be the caretaker. She will not treat others like children because she does not wish to be treated as one, and although this speaks for her independence, it also makes her detached and reserved. Distantly cool and collected, she is most at ease with herself. When she is dancing or playing an instrument, the music and movement seem to stretch out into infinity, so that soon there is nothing else, /no one/ else. It makes her great; it makes her secluded. She is cut off from the world and desensitized as most artistic souls are in some way or another, yet she loves the world as most artistic souls do. It becomes like water itself - it surrounds, it envelops, it comforts...and it separates. Atsumi is an island cut off from the mainland when the music starts. In many ways the music is always playing in the back of her head, and she loves it dearly.

An intense and all-consuming love for her own pursuits, and a detached, Machiavellian nature are major ways in which Atsumi differs from her Princess. Serenity loves everyone. Serenity does not believe that the end justifies the means - she is too sincere, caring, and involved to allow herself to do so - the means must be just themselves or Serenity will never apply them. For Neptune, things are not so black-and-white, and she is willing to compromise the needs of the few to meet the needs of the many. The senshi Neptune WILL complete her mission and protect her princess, and she will do it any way she knows how. Her True Starseed is willing to make any sacrifice for the sake of the Princess and the World. Like the oceans it represents, Neptune is expansive, massive, and constantly challenging its own apparent limits. The starseed of Neptune forever seeks to be boundless.

Darkest Secret:

Reactions to Sudden Hugs:

Virtues and Vices:

Badassery

Power Sphere: The Sea.

Asswhoopery: Deep Aqua Mirror: The 'holy relic' carried by the senshi Neptune, it is this magical object which largely makes Neptune as ass-kickin' powerful as her fellow Outer Senshi. Like the other Outer Lunarians, much of Neptune's magical superiority does not manifest itself in terms of offensive power, but in other forms - for example, the senshi Pluto is uberpowerful in her own right because she has power over time. The Outer Lunarians are powerful enough that, as four, they are the front line of defense for oh, say, the entire solar system. This does not, however, put them on par with the Galactics, because Galactics have uberpowers of Super Smackdown. Outer Lunarians have uberpowers in other ways. And so, hopping off of that tangent, we come to senshi Neptune's talisman, the Deep Aqua Mirror.

Visionary Sight - You betcha. The Mirror serves as a clairvoyant of sorts. It sees all, and every so often shares a "vision" with whoever peers into it, though understandably only the senshi Neptune herself has any ability to manipulate this power. It's like the "mirror, mirror, on the wall"......minus the talking bit. But yeah, the clairvoyant powers of the Mirror are altogether awesome - seeing anywhere (okay, okay, not everywhere) is almost as cool as Pluto seeing anywhen. Difference being, the visionary sight is a quality which is no good without the Mirror itself.
Teleportation - YES, teleportation. I'm not making this up. For a canon example, see the manga vol. 11, (Princess Kaguya) Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto teleport /through/ the Deep Aqua Mirror (and get blasted back through it, poor Outers. .^_^.). Fortunately, I will be a good girl and place the limitations on this ability. Neptune can only teleport where the mirror wants her to go, which is the biggie. Only if the mirror shows her a vision can she teleport there, and she can ONLY teleport where it wants her to go, same for the senshi accompanying her. So /if/ the mirror shows her a place, she can teleport to THAT PLACE AND THAT PLACE ONLY. Additionally, if it is separated from the Neptune starseed, it can be sent back (and indeed this is how Chibi-usa returns the Deep Aqua Mirror to Neptune in the SuperS manga...she holds it up and shouts "to the batcave!" or other, and poof! It's gone.). In order for Neptune to teleport through the Mirror, she has to fully focus her concentration and then simply reach her hand through the Mirror.
Enchanted Object - The Deep Aqua Mirror is a magical object, and is thus resistant to attacks...it's harder to break than it looks. Additionally, it's an extension of the True Starseed itself, meaning that if it's face is somehow shattered, the next time it is called out of henshin space, the Mirror is restored. This is true of the Mirror as well as many other magical artifacts in both manga and anime, just as it is true of the actual seifuku.
Big Thonk - The Mirror is made of solid gold, with a glass backing (and face), so it /would/ be possible to whack someone but good with it. You can't rule that out. Keep in mind, though, that Neptune is no weapons expert, and might well miss completely. Besides, the Mirror /is/ largely glass...and who would want to risk breaking it just for one good thwack? ....well, who besides me?
Reflective Surface - Also known as "whoooooo, shiny thing". It is pretty and shiny enough to be a distraction to the /very/ low of attention span, but really what is important here is that, duh, it is a mirror. It can be used to reflect light (aka "shine some light into yo eye, sucka"), and is also incredibly useful for reflecting/deflecting light-based attacks. Only light-based attacks, of course...holding the mirror up in front of an oncoming fireball will only serve to make you look like an ass just before you look Extra Tasty Crispy, rotisserie-style. Also, the Mirror can only deflect the light that hits it, so an attack larger than the Mirror would still strike Neptune, at least partially, depending on /how much larger/ it is.
Coolness Factor - YEAH it's awesome. I just thought I'd throw that in there.

Greatest Weakness:

Attacks:

   Deep Submerge:
Execution: Cue the stock footage! When this attack is called forth, the first noticeable sign of it is in the form of a big honkin' wave which crashes out of magical-nowhere-space. The wave breaks into individual jets of water, which swirl around Neptune to eventually collect in her upraised hands. They form into a ringed glowy teal orb of energy, which Neptune tosses forward, bapping her target but good. (The short: Neptune shoots a ball of seawater energy.)
Description: A focused shot of energy, this attack represents the rolling momentum of the largest bodies of water known. The true power of this attack, though perhaps not readily apparent, lies in the fact that is resists deflection - being very much water-based, it is more likely to break up in a splashy-type explosion than to be rerouted. (You try making the whole ocean change direction.) Being the most basic of all abilities inherent in the True Starseed of Neptune, this is also the weakest attack in Neptune's repertoire. Nonetheless, Neptune often invokes this particular attack because it requires less energy (being a lesser attack, natch), and because a Deep Submerge is more easily and accurately aimed.
   Submarine Reflection:
Execution: Neptune holds her mirror out before her. She calls out the attack name as the Deep Aqua Mirror glows in a really cool way. When the attack name has been said, neato glittery sparklies and streaks of light shoot out of the Mirror, either dispelling some illusion or making something glow in a very telling fashion.
Description: Representative of the ocean in many ways, this is a very fitting ability for the senshi of Neptune. Submarine Reflection is best used to dispel illusions or reveal weaknesses - the damn thing will ferret out truth every time, and serves as a sort of magical hi-liter. This ability is related, pseudo-metaphorically, to the clarity of water, and is linked to the reason for the Neptune senshi's commonly inborn strong intuition. The clarity of water, the strength of waves, which strip down the land to all but its true nature - the power to reduce even huge rocks (seemingly more solid and harder to cut through than water) down to fine sand. Water smooths down and reveals, and so it is only logical for this to be an ability which washes away illusions.
Violent Tide: (I know, I know, it's Violin Tide, but it's a nice corny pun, so for simplicity's sake, it is here referred to as the very ass-kickin' and hardcore-sounding "Violent Tide." Atsumi doesn't play violin. .^_^.)
Execution: A wave crashes across the camera's sights from the left, breaking across to the right, "filling" the bottom of the screen like it was a fishtank. A second wave comes across from the right, filling the "tank" and obscuring the camera's view. White gloved fingers appear through the water, coming together to clasp hands, fingers interlaced, then breaking apart again and disappearing back into the water. As Neptune pulls her hands back, the water "empties" from the screen and washes down beneath her feet. It crests back up into a huge mofo wave behind her as Neptune lifts her upraised palms over her head. Hands above her head, Neptune flips her palms forward and crosses her wrists one over the other as the wave behind her seems to gather itself into one massive magical breaker of seemingly tsunamic proportions. Neptune calls "Violent Tide" and throws her hands down in a forward arc, wrists still crossed. The wave follows with her hand motion, curling right over Neptune's head and crashing down before her.
Description: As opposed to the controlled 'one shot, one kill' aspect of a Deep Submerge attack, the Violent Tide attack carried by the Neptune Starseed represents the true expansive nature of the ocean. Target? What target? Chaotically beautiful, this attack is much freer and offers a true look at the power of the sea. It is unbiased, unrelenting, and serves as a force to drive people apart and weaken what bonds make individuals strong. If no man is an island, entire and of itself (and every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main), then the ocean is the force seeking to wedge apart such unity. Such a physically extensive ability does not come without its costs, however, and in this case the loss is in terms of control. Like a rushing wave, the energy riptide of a Violent Tide attack /will/ strike any- and everything which is not physically situated /behind/ Neptune, whether she likes it or not. The Outer Lunarians are not sissies, folks. (This does not mean you can't block/eliminate/shield against/etc. a Violent Tide, it just means it's on a collision course with everybody. Come on, it's a big freaking wave.)

Fuku: Head to foot! Start with the standard tiara, with an inset stone of deep teal. Moving down, you hit simple teal stud earrings and a deep teal choker. This teal is Neptune's primary color, so it's all over her fuku. A gold, five-pointed star marks the front of her choker. She wears the standard sailor collar in primary teal, complete with white pinstripe. Actually, I'm not sure pinstripe is the right word to use there. Do you think anyone will notice? Her 'sleeves' consist of two padded rolls of white fabric and a translucent pink-lavender capsleeve on each shoulder. Neptune's bodysuit is the standard white, and as is typical of senshi fuku, a bow is set smack in the middle of her chest. Neptune's bow is her secondary color, an intense but dark navy blue, clasped at the center with a heart-shaped button in primary teal. Forming the sort of 'belt' of the senshi fuku is a roll of white fabric coming to a point in the front at a sort of V shape (the universal symbol for 'seagull'! .^_^. Below this is her short pleated skirt in primary teal. At the back of her 'belt' is another bow in secondary blue, this one with longer tails that hang near to the backs of her knees. Neptune wears white gloves midway between wrist- and elbow-length, with three rolls of primary teal fabric forming the 'cuffs' of her gloves. Neptune's shoes are heels in primary teal. Like pointe shoes, ribbons come off of the shoes to wrap around her calves. Unlike pointe shoes, however, the ribbons come off of the sides of the shoes (ribbons on pointe shoes come off of the heel). The ribbons criss-cross over her feet just once, and then are tied off pointe-style at a horizontal band. Neptune's symbol is that of astronomical Neptune, a stylized trident.

Henshin: Atsumi produces her henshin wand and calls out "Neptune Planet Power, Make Up!" She folds her arms over her chest, wand in her right hand, and then swings her right arm out and to the right, before pulling it back across her body to the left. Silhouetted in henshinspace, her entire body pirouettes along with the motion of her arm, and a circle of water bursts up from the ground around her as she extends her arms out horizontally at her sides. The water expands outward and disappears off-camera, and Sailor Neptune gracefully flicks her hair over her shoulder as her tiara takes shape on her forehead. A sparkly sheen of gloss appears on her lips, and as the camera pans out, Neptune spins to her right, raising her left arm over her head and her right arm pointing to the ground, then draws both arms back in to stand in her finishing pose, feet shoulder-width apart, weight rested on her left foot, arms folded over her chest.

Connections

Kyouri
I am a dreamer, so they locked me away.... Sometimes we dreamers just get in the way. Atsumi is not only hyper-intuitive, she is also Ms. Perfection, so she knows full well that Kia is a Sweet Girl Who Means Well (TM) and must therefore be protected from those people who mean not well, but ill. Atsumi's all for teaching a man to fish, but...not the princess. The princess she would rather go out every day and catch a fish for, then come back and let her know how it went afterwards. There are some risks that are worth taking, but Kia is NOT one of them.

Anrui

Oki
Freshwater, meet saltwater. Saltwater, meet freshwater. Atsumi is not terribly fond of Oki, on a buddy-buddy level, but she respects her as a fellow water senshi and as being both wise and brilliant. If there's one thing Atsumi can get next to, it's a competent teammate, so she'll have to put her personal urges to make disdainful sniffy noises aside when Oki lights up a cig.

Atarimae
Atsumi is totally down with Mae, who has nice, respectable hobbies and an admirable work ethic. The problem, here, is that Mae can be reserved, socially, and Atsumi has the same tendency, so they'll tend to orbit on the outskirts of the same conversation, potentially never colliding. Should their paths cross, Atsumi may disagree with Mae's rather blunt tendencies, but she is business as usual, and cares more about how well Mars performs as a senshi. Like with Oki, she gets the job done, and that is important. Mae is also a neat freaky and a girly-girl, and Atsumi is TOTALLY DOWN with these things, as well as Mae's keen intuition. The problem would be in the Mars tendency to let one's passions get carried away with one when one is in battle. That's strictly a no-no.

Misao
OMFG flower arrangement and cleanliness. <3 Atsumi loves when other people have an appreciation for the refined things in life. Very much the opposite to what's going on with Oki; Misao and Atsumi could totally get along on a mundane level, but Atsumi would not approve of the way Jupiter lets her emotions play a role in her senshi doings. Atsumi is Captain Coolheaded, and there is only enough room for ONE make-love-not-war soldier on her team, and that's Kia. Neptune is politely disdainful of your silly emotional hangups.

Kyouko
KYOUKO X ATSUMI OTP. Except for the part where they are about as compatible as Patty Duke and Cathy Lane (though not COUSINS shut up dub). They are both highly athletic and both enjoy swimming, although alas they will never start a synch group. .;_;.While Atsumi sees the two of them as being from two HIGHLY DIFFERENT WORLDS, she also considers Kyouko to be one of the most driven and dedicated individuals in any of the four factions. Kyouko and Atsumi may never have enough common ground to get ice cream over, but Atsumi sure as sweetpotatoes RESPECTS her, and how. It is not a nod to any past lives of their starseeds, but rather to the fact that Neptune considers Uranus an equal that would cause Neptune's to be the first calming hand on Uranus's shoulder if she should go flying off the handle. And who's to say whether what she means by that shoulder-touch is "Kyouko, you are embarrassing our faction and yourself" or "Kyouko, your cholesterol!!!" Maybe she just hopes Kyouko can learn a little something from her in terms of controlling her temper. XD

Ninmae

Yuriko
On a personal level, Atsumi doesn't have any PROBLEMS with Yuriko, though she feels the girl has some social/psychological development to go through. She'll try her damnedest to be a distant but helpful mentor for the girl, and takes some comfort in Yuriko's sketching hobby which she can relate to at least a little, yay. On a soldiering level, as is usual for the Outers, Atsumi is totally down with the sober, serious attitude of Saturn, whose responsibility she considers almost as important as Pluto's. However, she begrudges Saturn the unintentional nature of her abilities that make her a loose cannon, and Neptune is just the sort of person that, when Pluto's and Venus's attempts to reason with the senshi of rebirth about dropping the Glaive fail, Neptune will make every attempt to kill her teammate before she allows a wrong decision to be made. She does it because she cares no honestly.
